Terms of Service

Welcome to KitScope. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the KitScope website and application, together with any related features and services. By creating an account or otherwise using KitScope, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

KitScope is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using KitScope on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.

Your Account

To use most features of KitScope, you need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep it up to date. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us as soon as possible.

Usernames and Brand Protection

You may choose a unique username for your account, subject to availability. However, KitScope reserves the right to reclaim, modify, or reassign usernames at its sole discretion if they infringe upon, imitate, or conflict with registered trademarks, brand names, or corporate identities. If a username change is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and offer an alternative.

Your Content and Ownership

KitScope lets you create and upload content such as projects, patterns, descriptions, and images. You keep full ownership of everything you upload, and we do not claim ownership of your content.

The License You Grant Us

In order to operate the service, we need your permission to handle your content. By uploading content to KitScope, you grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and back up that content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and to the people you choose to share it with. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except for copies that may remain in routine backups for a limited time.

Acceptable Use

We want KitScope to be a safe and welcoming place. When using the service, you agree that you will not:

• upload content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, or that infringes the rights of others
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems
• interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the service or its infrastructure
• use the service for any fraudulent or malicious purpose

We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these rules.

Our Intellectual Property

The KitScope name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not give you any right to use our branding or software, except as needed to use the service in the normal way.

Third Party Services

KitScope is built on third party infrastructure, including Google Firebase, which we use for authentication, data storage, and file hosting. Your use of the service may also be subject to the terms and policies of these providers where applicable.

Termination

You may stop using KitScope at any time and delete your account and associated data directly from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. When your account is terminated, your right to use the service ends, and we will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

KitScope is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that content you store will never be lost.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KitScope and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of KitScope after the changes take effect means that you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Sweden, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
